AOF Property Solutions

Lease-Up Agent

Greater Edmonton Area
·
Contract
·
RECA licence required

The role

A lease-up agent is how an investor's property goes from empty to earning. You market available rentals across the Greater Edmonton Area, show them to prospective tenants, and gather applications from the people who want to live there. Once an account manager approves an applicant and admin has handled the lease signing and damage deposit, the tenant comes back to you to complete the move-in inspection and hand over the keys. You work inside AOF Property Solutions, our in-house property management division, alongside the same team that helped the investor buy the property in the first place. The team that buys it is the team that manages it, and you're a key part of that continuity.

What you'll do

  • Market available units and keep listings accurate and current.
  • Coordinate and run showings for prospective tenants across the Edmonton area.
  • Respond to inquiries quickly and follow up with interested prospects.
  • Collect complete applications and pass them to the account manager for approval.
  • After the account manager approves the applicant and admin finalizes the lease and deposit, complete the move-in inspection with the tenant and release the keys.
  • Communicate clearly with owners and the property management team throughout.

Who does well here

  • People-first. You're easy to talk to, quick to respond, and good at reading whether a tenant is the right fit for a home.
  • Organized and self-driven. You manage your own showings, follow-ups, and paperwork without being chased.
  • Careful. You take screening seriously and treat every applicant fairly and consistently.

What you'll need

  • An active RECA licence in good standing. Property management authorization is an asset. Not licensed yet? If you're taking your licensing course or ready to start it, tell us. We can talk about bringing you on in a non-licensed support role in the meantime.
  • A reliable vehicle and a valid Alberta driver's licence. The role is out in the field across the Edmonton area.
  • Comfort with the tools of the trade: showing scheduling, applications, and digital communication.
  • Familiarity with Alberta's Residential Tenancies Act, or a willingness to learn it quickly.
WHY AOF

Most leasing roles hand you a stack of empty units and leave you to it. Here, you're part of one team that follows a property through its whole life: buying, managing, leasing, selling. That means better properties to lease, owners who value the work, and a team that has your back. AOF is a McGillivray Trusted team, and the standard that comes with that name is the standard we hire to.
